A Compromise...

For those of you with an interest in my daughter's Halloween costume dilemma, I am happy to inform you that a compromise has been reached. Sophie no longer has to choose between a dragon and a princess. She will have the best of both worlds. For Halloween, Sophie has decided that she will be a "dragon princess." She has agreed to wear the dragon costume she fell in love with a couple of weeks ago. However, she has tweaked it a bit. She has decided to add a pink tutu, a bejeweled wand, and a pink and silver tiara to her ensemble (items we just happen to have on hand in her bedroom), thereby creating the aforementioned dragon princess.

Ingenious, I say! As a dragon princess, she can have her Prince Charming and eat him too! Imagine the benefits of a princess with the ability to breath fire. If her loyal subjects refuse to bend to her will and submit to her every whim (as we often do), she can simply singe them into submission. And when a dragon princess' rowdy brothers get on her nerves, she can fly them high into the air and drop them into the Forbidden Forest on their big, fat heads.

Once again, I think my daughter is a genius.

Very Cute and what a great idea... I bet she will be the only dragon princess around :)
