And so it begins...

Well...here we go. My first attempt at blogging. I guess I should take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Shannon. I am a mom of 3 beautiful...and utterly exausting...children. Lucas just turned 7. Sophie and Nicholas are 3 and a half. My partner and I have been together for 12 years and are amazed on a daily basis that we created these little creatures who have taken over every tiny inch of space in our lives. We have a tough schedule. I work part-time days...she works full-time evenings. We do not have to pay for daycare, but our time together is very limited. In many ways, we are single moms Monday through Friday. It's a tough schedule, but it hasn't killed us....yet.

Being a mom (and a lesbian, to boot!), I am a master of self-examination...I can "process" a situation to oblivion! So...of course it makes sense that I am finally starting a blog...so I can reach new levels of neurosis. :) So here we go....anyone who wants to follow my journey, please feel free to join me on this crazy, tumultuous, senseless, endearing, heart-wrenching, confusing, completely engulfing journey called motherhood.
